Yamal LNG has started the 2nd stage of the LNG plant

Yamal LNG has brought the second stage of the plant on liquefaction of natural gas into operation. Initially the second turn was planned to start at the end of 2018.

The plant construction has three stages on 5,5 million tons of the liquefied gas a year. Resource base is the South Tambey gas field on the Yamal Peninsula.

The first stage is entered in December, 2017, a third plan to start 2018 or at the beginning of 2019 at the end. At the end of 2019 one more stage of the plant on 900 thousand tons per year will be started.

Shareholders of Yamal LNG are Novatek - 50,1%, the French Total - 20%, the Chinese CNPC - 20%, the Chinese Fund "Silk Way" (SRF) - 9,9%.
